If you own a home abroad the chances are you already have at least one euro account, and if you are thinking of buying a house in europe you will have to open an account of some sorts (see Buying Abroad) business men/women traveling around europe would most certainly benefit form one, and anyone spending long stays abroad working, holidays etc.

So you thinking of taking a plunge in to the foreign property market, well one thing is for sure you will need to open a bank account in the country that you are buying your house in, and its best to do this before you buy your house, or at least chose the right bank first, as bank charges very so don't just pick one out, do a bit of research (read, My 1st euro account) and check out the banks (in English) some have packs of some sort so you can fill in all the forms in advance.
